Releasing Q1 2010: VirtueMart Purchasing Rules component allows administrators to create rules to restrict or enable purchasing of individual products and/or categories in VirtueMart, with custom messages for each when rule is violated. Like many of our extensions, this one is integrated with JUGA - Joomla User Group Access by Dioscouri for group permissions and rule exceptions.

For example:

• Set up a rule that only members of the "Preferred Customer" group may purchase items in Category 2
• Stop the sale of certain products as of a particular date
• Create and enforce VirtueMart purchasing dependencies such as "buy 2, get 1 free product"
• Each rule can have a custom error message that the customer will see when an attempted purchase violates the rule

 

Also under development:

• VirtueMart Extended Coupons Component - a robust coupon component for VirtueMart with basic email functionality for marketing

• Verify Plugin - forces user to agree to a custom popup message before proceeding to specific pages (use for restricted content, age-appropriate content, copyrighted material, etc.)
