We utilize a dual server, multi-provider virtual private server environment with our own Domain Name Servers (DNS). Full server backups occur weekly, with full client site backups nightly and incremental backups hourly. Unlike many hosting providers, this automatic backup service is included at no extra charge in all of our hosting plans.

For clients who choose Polished Geek for website design services with Joomla! CMS software, full website backup capability is always included as part of the standard software. This allows you to backup your complete website installation and database at any time and download the entire package to an offsite location of your choosing, even your desktop. While we hope you never choose to move to another hosting provider, this backup capability gives you, the site owner, complete freedom and access to move your site to another provider whenever you like. You will never be "held hostage" at Polished Geek. After all, we want you to stay with us year after year because we provide the best service possible to our customers, not because you have to.

Did you know? Most personal & small business websites use < 0.5 Gig of storage and under 2 Gig of bandwidth monthly!  The Basic Plan is configured to provide small businesses with a stable, high performance hosting service at a reasonable price.  

Depending on your website needs, it is always possible an "unlimited" account at another hosting provider will be a better choice for you. However, most small to medium websites use less than 20% of the storage or bandwidth amounts we provide in even our Basic Hosting plan. We believe in a more personal approach to hosting, where each customer is provided specific allocations for storage and bandwidth.
